1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Data you provide through Sign in with Apple (user identifier, email if shared, name if shared).
• Content: Videos and channel information you upload to the service.
• Location data: With your permission, we collect your approximate geographic location (city-level accuracy) to discover and recommend local TV channels near you. See Section 2a for details.
• Usage data: Viewing statistics, streaming minutes, and app interaction data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and maintain the service, process subscriptions, transcode and deliver your content, discover and recommend channels relevant to your location, send service notifications, improve the app experience, and comply with legal obligations.

2a. Location Data

My TV Channel requests access to your device's location to provide location-based features. Here is how we handle your location data:

• What we collect: Approximate geographic coordinates (city-level precision). We do not use precise/GPS-level location.
• Why: To discover and display local TV channels broadcasting near you, and to sort search results by proximity.
• When: Location is only accessed after you grant permission through your device's system dialog. You are never required to grant location access to use the app.
• Server transmission: Your coordinates may be sent to our servers as part of channel discovery and search requests to filter and rank channels by proximity.
• Storage: If you choose to create a location-based channel, your location may be stored in your user profile. You can disable location sharing at any time in your profile settings.
• Your control: You can revoke location permission at any time in your device's Settings. The app will continue to work, but location-based channel discovery will be unavailable.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored on secure servers. Videos are processed and stored for streaming delivery. We retain your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and business purposes.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with: service providers who assist in operating the app, legal authorities when required by law, and successors in case of business transfer.

5. Your Rights

Under GDPR and applicable laws, you have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. Contact us to exercise these rights.

6. Usage Data and Analytics

We collect usage data about how the app is used — which screens you view, which actions you take, and playback quality information such as buffering — so we can find where the app is confusing or broken and fix it.

This data is sent only to our own servers. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, or any third-party analytics service in the app. Your usage data is never shared with advertisers, data brokers, or other companies, and is never used to track you across other apps or websites. We do not collect an advertising identifier (IDFA), and the app does not ask for tracking permission because it does not track you.

Specifically:

• Each installation is given a random identifier. It is reset if you delete and reinstall the app.
• If you are signed in, usage data is linked to your account. If you are not signed in, it is not linked to any identity.
• Your IP address is used only to determine which country you are in, and is then discarded. We do not store IP addresses with usage data.
• Usage data is automatically deleted after 180 days.
• You can turn usage data off at any time in the app: Profile → Privacy → Share Usage Data.

Separately, channel owners may connect their own third-party analytics provider (such as Google Analytics) to their channel's web player. If you watch a channel on the web, that channel's own analytics provider may receive data according to their policies, not ours.

7. Children's Privacy

The service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
